Trade License Registration in India 

• A Trade License is a license or permission issued by a municipal corporation granting permission to carry on a particular Business at a particular address. It ensures that the citizens are not adversely affected by health hazards and nuisance by the improper carrying of Trade.
• Any place within the Municipality/Corporation limit shall be used for any one or more of the purposes specified in Schedule V of the Tamil Nadu Districts Municipalities Act, 1920/Schedule-IV of the Madurai City Municipal Act, 1971/Schedule IV Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981 with a license issued by the executive authority and with conditions specified therein:
• Application for grant or renewal of a license shall be made to the Commissioner in Form-I (Available in this Portal) 3.
• Applications are to be made to the Commissioner not more than 90 days in case of before the place is used for such purpose, not less than 30 days in case of Municipalities and not less than 45 days in case of Corporation before the place is used for such purpose

Shop and Establishment Registration in India

The Shop and Establishment License is issued to the Business, Trade, and Professions registered under the Shop and Establishment Act.

Further, all the rules and regulations of the Act are governed by the Department of Labor which not only regulates commercial establishments but also keeps a check on the working of Charitable Trusts, Societies, Educational Institutes and other premises such as Banking, Stock Exchanges, Insurance Companies, Share Brokerages, etc.
